The EI7RHD DMR Repeater is a Hytera RD 985 which is reliable, built to military standards and developed in line with ETSI standards. The P.A. section is built to dissipate heat with extraordinary efficiency from an integrated fan system operation ensuring powerful and stable operation.
The optional duplexer is fitted inside the repeater resulting in sufficient isolation between the Transmit and Receive frequencies
The antenna is a 4 x 5/8 collinear antenna which has a gain of 10dBd although perhaps more realistically around 8.5 dBd. The antenna is mounted at the top of the mast as seen below.
The Repeater is connected via internet to the Brandmeister-IE Server located in Waterford Institute of Technology.
The Repeater was installed on the 4th of November and has given trouble free service to date.
